Two stories. The first one is about my mother's black dress. It had been traveling with me for years, from apartment to apartment, from country to country. Sewn back in the '70s from a lurex fabric brought from somewhere abroad, like an overseas gift from a fairy tale. Unworn by me, created for the feasts, this lightweight inheritance found a delicate bloody pattern in my hands. Here begins the second story. It is about the anxiety dripping from the hem of the dress in beaded trickles. The weight of witnessing, the weight of powerlessness. Travel in space is already limited, but leaps in time - from generation to generation, from one system to another - became more frequent. Every day a journey is made from familiar reality to the "off-screen" world of nightmares and vice versa. The marks of these journeys are covering everyday life, memories, dreams. The dress traveled from my mother's youth to mine, only I could not leave it as it was, with those hopes and joys, without adding to them the reminder of a tragedy that is now not a dream.
